Social Services

Supportive services are available to our parishioners and to members of the Hazelwood community. 
The parish offers Social Services through our St. Vincent DePaul Society. Volunteers in this ministry provide:
 Needs Assessment Information and referral
 Emergency tangible assistance Geriatric care-planning/consultation/home visitation
 Financial assistance with rent and utilities
 Coordination of services with other providers (e.g. Allegheny County Department of Human Services, government services...) Advocacy and support of regional and local human service organizations (e.g. Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Just Harvest, Catholic Charities, Pregnancy Resource Center, Hazelwood YMCA, Hazelwood Early Headstart, Hazelwood Meals on Wheels program)
 Meals on Wheels, Free Lunch Program, Monthly Food Distribution, Emergency Food  Fishes and Loaves Cooperative Ministries and the Hazelwood YMCA. Contact Deacon Tom (see below).
